molded fit…
…but attracts hair and fuzzies like crazy! These iSkin covers do fit like a second skin, but they will look like rectangular Tribbles if you have pets. They attract hair like crazy. The non-slip screen protectors are great for protecting the delicate screen, but the clips are not low-profile enough, in my opinion and too hard to remove if you want to put the whole thing in your pocket. The small flap on the bottom lets you charge your iPod without removing it from the case.
Good protection
I bought one of these at the same time as the iPod because I kept hearing how easily it scratches–and had to wait an extra two weeks for the whole order. However, it was worth it to not have the iPod slip out of my hands and break–I mostly carry the iPod as I walk, and this skin makes it very comfortable and easy to do.
It does attract fuzz quite a bit, but that seems to wear off after a while–this is not a major detractor to me. (I have cats. I live with fuzz.) The clip could be better if it were a spring clip or stronger, but it works for walking around, and removes easily enough. The screen protector does scratch easily, but does a good job of protecting the iPod in general.
All these things are minimal, and I’ve been really happy with how much it’s protected my music investment.
The big problem I’ve found is that with the skin on, it’s impossible to put it in a dock for external speakers–I had to take it out of the skin, and that’s a hassle. If anyone has suggestions about cables that would help, or something similar, I’d love to hear it.
Good product
Product gives ample room to get to all the buttons as well as protects the unit well. I bought it to protect the ipod from scratches. It has done a good job in the 5 weeks that I have had it. I wish that it fit into my Itrips with the skin on though. That is my only complaint.
